Terms of Use

1. Agreement
By using Diligent Movers's website, booking a service, or accepting a quote, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Quotes & Booking
All quotes are estimates unless explicitly marked as binding. Final invoices may differ from the original estimate due to additional services, additional time, additional weight or volume, or scope changes requested on move day. We always disclose changes before billing.
3. Cancellation
Move cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time receive a full refund of any deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a deposit forfeit equal to one hour of crew time.
4. Liability & Valuation
Standard valuation is included with every move at $0.60 per pound per item, as required by federal and state regulations. Full-value protection is available as a paid upgrade. Items of extraordinary value (over $100/lb) must be declared in writing before the move.
5. Restricted Items
We do not transport hazardous materials, perishable food, live plants across state lines, illegal items, firearms (loaded), or items of personal sentimental irreplaceable value (we recommend you transport these yourself).
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged in writing. We accept major credit cards, ACH, and certified check.
7. Claims
Damage claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of move completion. Email hello@diligentmovers.com with photographs and a description.
8. Updates
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
